ANDREJA PEJIC TRANSGENDER MODEL TO SIGN WITH FORD

After publicly coming out as transgender back in 2013, Pejic was dropped from her modeling agency at the time. Now, she's signed on with one of the oldest and most prestigious modeling agencies in the world. In an interview with Forbes, Pejic opened up about the experience, "It feels good to go from not even knowing if I would have a future in the modeling business to joining forces with one of the biggest names in the industry, and following in the footstep of Christie Brinkley, Jerry Hall, Alek Wek—the list goes on and on."


Pejic was the first to model both menswear and womenswear in the industry and became the first transgender model to land a major beauty campaign back in 2015 for Make Up For Ever. Along with walking the runways at Marc Jacobs, Jean Paul Gaultier, John Galliano and more, the model also became the first transgender woman to appear on the cover of GQ.

Now signed as an official Ford Model, it looks like this is only the beginning of Pejic's work as a force for transgender representation in the fashion and beauty realms.

2018 Toyota Highlander Release date, Price

2018 Toyota Highlander engine lineup will carry over from 2017 model. First option is 3.5-liter V6 engine generating 295 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque. Next in the lineup is 2.7-liter 4-cylinder unit producing 185 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. Toyota V6 engine will be equipped with 8-speed automatic transmission, while 4-cylinder version will get 6-speec automatic gearbox. 2018 Highlander hybrid comes with V6 engine in combination with battery power. Hybrid model is capable of developing 306 horsepower. It comes equipped with all-wheel drive system and CVT gearbox.  2018 Toyota Highlander fuel economy ratings are set at 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway, averaging 23 mpg for V6 WD and 20/26/22 mpg for V6 AWD. 4-cylinder version can do 20/24/22 mpg. Highlander Hybrid fuel economy is set at 30/28/29 mpg for LE and 29/27/28 mpg for XLE model
